In this workshop, we will cover traditional approaches to treating some types of acute infectious upper respiratory illness. We will cover all types of coughs, the relief and prevention of the flu and common cold, sore throat, strep, sinus congestion and infection. Participants will taste and experience herbal remedies and become familiar with a wide variety of preparations including tinctures, teas, syrups, chest rubs, compresses and more.
Students will also participate in a demonstration making Fire Cider. Each participant will take home recipes, a bottle of Fire Cider, and Elderberry Syrup from Horus Herbals for personal use.
This class is suitable for everyone interested in herbs from beginners to more experienced students of herbal medicine.
